The only requirements for membership to our association is a willingness to learn, share, and a dedication to being a good brother or sister to your fellow members.
There are two levels of membership, Basic Membership and Affiliate School Membership. Both are based on an annual calendar year from date of registration.

- Cost: $30 per year.
- SMP Handbook
- 1 SMP patch and membership card
- Listing on member section of SMP website
- Invited to membership in our private group in Discord (with access to training videos, announcements, etc.)
- Eligible to test for rank certification by SMP.
- Newsletter (2-4 per year)
- 15% discount on member events (seminars and trainings with a fee) and merchandise.
- 3 Zoom trainings per year

- Cost: $50 per year.
- Affiliate membership is only for school owners who have an FMA program they are actively teaching. It does not cover members – only the school owner.
- Includes all benefits from BASIC membership level
- Charter school membership certificate
- May nominate their students for black belt review and certification by SMP senior instructors.
- School listed on SMP website
- For East Coast Gatherings, instructor attends FREE when 3 or more students register.
- 25% discount on events and merchandise (exclusive of above)
